چکیده
A second example is representative of a complex antenna structure. An RCDLA, introduced by [5] and shown in Fig. 1, is analysed close to a homogeneous lossy dielectric sphere of radius R = 0.10m with relative permittivity E, = 50 and specific conductivity o = 1.3Sirn at f = 925MHz. The distance between the sphere and case is 0.02m, and the cover plate of the case is 0.04111 above the plane 8 = 90”. Fig. 3 compares the far-field radiation pattern in the horizontal plane (0 = 90’) for free-space to the case in which the head is present.

Signal Recognition and Signature Code Acquisition in CDMA Mobile Packet Communications
Fast and reliable signal sense and signature code synchronization for direct-sequence spread-spectrum (DS-SS) signals are key issues in the design of the receiver for modern packet code-division multiple-access (CDMA) radio networks for mobile communications—this motivates the study of the signalrecognition and code-acquisition (SR/CA) scheme we describe in this paper. Specifically, starting fr...
متن کاملerformance of Matched-Filter Acquisition for a DS/SSMA System in a Frequency-Selective Fading Channel
This paper evaluated t h e performance of a noncoherent parallel matched-filter acquisition scheme with a reference filter ( R F ) for a direct-sequence/spread-spectrum multiple access (DS/SSMA) sys tem in a frequency-selective fading channel. Mean acquisition t ime for t h e paralleI MFR F acquisition scheme is derived for a frequency-selective Rayleigh fading channel. This acquisition scheme ...
متن کاملMathematical modeling and performance analysis for a two-stage acquisition scheme for direct-sequence spread-spectrum CDMA
The problem of acquisition of synchronism is considered for direct-sequence spread-spectrum (DS/SS) code-division multiple-access (CDMA) systems. For large systems with large timing uncertainties, it has been shown recently that acquisition in the presence of multiple-access interference may impose a significant limitation on capacity. This leads us to consider a system in which timing uncertai...
متن کاملPacket Radio and the Factory of the Future
Spread-spectrum packet radio networks are currently being considered for use in the factory of the future. These networks have the resistance to fading and the inherent multiple access capability that are necessary to interconnect the Autonomous Guided Vehicles (AGVs) and other mobile machines and personnel that will be used in the future factory. This paper reports on progress in the design an...
متن کاملOptimal arrival-time distribution for delay capture in spread-spectrum packet radio networks
The optimal arrival-time distribution that maximizes the delay-capture probability in spread-spectrum packet radio networks is derived. It is shown that using the optimal arrival-time distribution, the capture probability converges to a finite value as the number of contending users increase. Normalized throughput and average delay is computed for slotted ALOHA random access packet radio networ...
